ITINERARY:
Our guide and driver will meet you at your hotel. We will start our tour by visiting town of Gori, birthplace and Museum of Joseph Stalin, where we will see the old house where he was born and lived in his early childhood. From Gori we will continue our tour to Uplistsikhe cave town – the most important and interesting monument in Kartli region. Carved in rock ancient town, built in VI BC, used to be spiritual center of pagan Georgia. Here are remains of amphitheater, several temples and market place. At the end of our excursion we will see the most beautiful city Mtskheta, which is one of the oldest cultural, historical and religious centers of Georgia. The Jvari Monastery which we will see was built in the VI century, which is a significant monument for its architecture, you can enjoy wonderful view of Mtskheta. We will also visit the cathedral Svetitskhoveli, the holy place where the robe of Christ is being kept according to the legend. Then we will take a walk in the beautiful streets of Mtskheta.
